Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Mac Support Engineer to provide technical support for macOS devices, Apple hardware, and related enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise with macOS environments, MDM tools, security configurations, and end-user support. This role ensures smooth operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of all Mac-based systems across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 1/Level 2 technical support for macOS devices, MacBooks, iMacs, iPads, and Apple peripherals.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to macOS, Apple hardware, software applications, network connectivity , and user account problems.
- Install, configure, and update macOS systems, applications, and security patches.
- Manage and administer MDM/EMM tools (Jamf Pro, Kandji, Intune, Workspace ONE, etc.) for device enrollment, configuration profiles, and policy enforcement.
- Support enterprise applications including Microsoft Office for Mac, VPN clients, SSO integrations, and productivity tools.
- Assist with onboarding/offboarding: device provisioning, user account setup, and access configuration.
- Maintain and enforce security standards , including encryption (FileVault), password policies, certificates, and compliance checks.
- Perform root-cause analysis, document resolutions, and maintain knowledge base articles.
- Collaborate with network, security, and Windows support teams for cross-platform coordination.
- Track and resolve incidents through ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Jira, Remedy, etc.).
- Manage Apple device inventory, procurement requests, and lifecycle management.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5-7+ years of experience in Mac Support / macOS Engineering / Apple Device Management .
- Strong technical knowledge of macOS, Apple hardware , and Apple ecosystem components.
- Hands-on experience with MDM platforms (Jamf Pro, Kandji, Mosyle, Intune, or similar).
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (Wi-Fi, VPN, DNS, DHCP).
- Familiarity with Bash/zsh command-line usage and basic scripting for automation.
- Experience supporting SaaS tools (Google Workspace, O365, Okta, Duo, Zoom, Slack, etc.).
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer support skills.
