The Opportunity : Project Manager (AI)
As a Project Manager for Artificial Intelligence projects, you’ll play an important role in supporting AI initiatives by coordinating across Data Science, AI Engineering, and business stakeholders to ensure projects move forward smoothly. You’ll help manage timelines, resources, and deliverables while supporting communication between technical and non-technical teams. Your knowledge of project management practices and ability to stay organized in dynamic environments will contribute directly to project success.
This role is ideal for project managers with experience in technical environments who enjoy problem-solving, collaborating across teams, and ensuring clear communication. Responsibilities
- Support the creation and tracking of project plans, timelines, and deliverables to ensure alignment across TELUS Digital, client, and third-party teams
- Coordinate activities across teams to help deliver AI and data-driven products on schedule and with high quality
- Facilitate clear communication between stakeholders, including AI & data teams, engineering, product managers, and business partners
- Track progress, surface risks, and escalate issues to senior leadership with recommended mitigation actions
- Document and share updates tailored for different audiences, from technical teams to business stakeholders
- Assist with optimizing workflows and applying project management practices that fit the team’s needs
- Help the team adapt to changing requirements and contribute to problem-solving in evolving project scenarios
- Explore AI-first tools to enhance project management efficiency
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams in technology, data, or software projects
- Familiarity with projects involving AI, Machine Learning, or emerging technologies
- Strong organizational and coordination skills with experience applying agile or other project management methods
- Experience with PM tools such as Monday.com or JIRA
- Experience supporting stakeholder communications and facilitating working sessions
- Ability to break down and clarify complex information for diverse audiences
- Proficiency in English is required
Bonus Points
- Exposure to Automation or Conversational AI projects
- Experience as a Project Coordinator, Project Manager, or Scrum Master in a consulting or technology setting
- Experience with Salesforce
- Knowledge of Customer Experience (CX) processes or KPIs
- Relevant certifications (CSM, PMP, SA, etc.)
- Interest in account growth and supporting client relationship activities
