Partner Staffing on behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead the delivery of municipal and industrial water/wastewater facility projects, as well as building infrastructure initiatives across the Edmonton region. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in complex, multi-disciplinary construction projects, excels at managing contractors and consultants, and ensures projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. Key Responsibilities
- Manage full project lifecycle from planning and procurement through construction, commissioning, and close-out.
- Lead the coordination of civil, mechanical, electrical, and structural disciplines for water/wastewater treatment facilities and related building infrastructure.
- Oversee contractor performance, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives.
- Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, schedules, and risk management plans.
- Administer contracts, manage change orders, and ensure compliance with specifications, regulatory requirements, and municipal standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings, providing clear reporting to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Resolve technical issues, mitigate risks, and proactively address project challenges.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, permitting agencies, and municipal partners to support seamless project execution.
- Ensure construction documentation, submittals, and reports are accurate, complete, and maintained.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of progressive experience in construction project management, preferably in water/wastewater facilities, municipal infrastructure, or industrial buildings.
- Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Civil Technology, or a related discipline work experience.
- Strong understanding of water/wastewater treatment systems, process equipment, and building infrastructure.
- Proven experience managing contractors, construction teams, and multi-phase project portfolios.
- Excellent knowledge of Alberta Building Code, OH&S regulations, and municipal standards.
- Proficient with project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent).
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- PMP, CET, or P.Eng designation considered an asset.
