About the Role
We are looking for a skilled, detail-oriented Fabricator to join our production team and support the delivery of high-quality custom metal projects. The ideal candidate takes pride in their craftsmanship, understands fabrication processes from start to finish, and thrives in a fast-paced, solution-focused manufacturing environment.
You will work closely with our welders, project managers, and operations team to build structural, architectural, and custom components with precision and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
Fabrication & Production
- Interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and work orders with accuracy
- Measure, cut, fit, and assemble components using a variety of metal-working tools
- Prepare materials using saws, grinders, shears, and CNC equipment (as applicable)
- Fit and tack assemblies for welding (MIG / FCAW experience preferred)
- Ensure all manufactured parts meet quality specifications and tolerance requirements
Quality & Safety
- Inspect completed work for accuracy, alignment, and quality standards
- Follow shop safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace
- Identify issues proactively and communicate solutions to the team
Collaboration & Workflow
- Work closely with welders and project leads to ensure efficient production flow
- Assist with shop organization, inventory, and general operational improvements
- Contribute to a positive team culture focused on precision, accountability, and continuous improvement
Required Experience & Qualifications
- 5+ years of fabrication or metalworking experience in a shop environment
- Strong understanding of fabrication fundamentals: measuring, layout, fitting, cutting, grinding
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Proficiency with fabrication tools (bandsaw, grinders, drills, brake/shear, clamps, squares)
- Experience fitting components for MIG/FCAW welding
- Strong problem-solving and independent decision-making skills
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding work
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality craftsmanship
Preferred (Asset) Skills
- Red Seal Welding or Metal Fabrication education/training
- CNC plasma table experience
- Forklift certification and general material-handling knowledge
- Experience with stainless steel and aluminum fabrication
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing / 2-Second Lean principles
- Previous work in architectural or structural fabrication environments
