About the Role
Mother Parkers is a market leader in the manufacturing sector, is seeking a Director of Human Resources Operations to provide strategic oversight and operational leadership across a complex, multi-site footprint in Canada and the U.S. This executive-level role is critical to shaping the HR operating model, driving workforce strategies, and ensuring organizational alignment with business objectives.
The successful candidate will be a transformational HR leader with the ability to influence senior stakeholders, optimize processes, and foster a culture of performance, engagement, and compliance across diverse environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Enterprise Leadership: Direct HR operations for multiple manufacturing sites, ensuring consistency and scalability across regions.
- HR Business Partnership : Serve as the strategic HR business partner for the Chief Operations Officer and the Chief Procurement & Supply Chain Officer, participating as a key member of their leadership teams.
- HR Leadership and Development: Oversee and develop the plant HRBP teams to in providing strategic HR business partnering support to our Operations and Supply Chain teams.
- Strategic Workforce Planning: Partner with senior leadership to design and execute workforce strategies that support growth and operational excellence.
- Operational Excellence: Standardize HR practices, policies, and systems to drive efficiency and compliance across Canadian and U.S. jurisdictions.
- Talent Strategy: Lead recruitment, onboarding, retention, and succession planning initiatives to build a strong leadership pipeline.
- Employee Relations & Compliance: Oversee complex employee relations matters and ensure adherence to employment legislation in unionized and non-unionized environments.
- HR Technology & Analytics: Optimize HRIS platforms and leverage data-driven insights to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Culture & Engagement: Champion employee engagement programs that strengthen organizational culture.
- Budget & Resource Management: Manage HR budgets and resources effectively to deliver maximum impact.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience , including 5+ years in a senior role within manufacturing .
- Proven success in multi-site HR leadership across Canadian and U.S. operations.
- Deep knowledge of employment legislation in both countries.
- Experience with unionized and non-unionized workforces.
- Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and executive influencing skills.
- Strong capability in project management, budgeting, and change leadership.
- Proficiency in cloud-based HR systems and advanced Microsoft Office skills.
