(TEMP - 1 YEAR) - Human Resources Clerk/Office Receptionist
Reporting to the Human Resources Superintendent, the Human Resources Clerk/Receptionist is primarily responsible for assisting the team with recruitment efforts, upkeeping of fillings and documents, continuation of digitizing process and receiving and distributing necessary information to appropriate parties through many channels. They must be a committed team player with a strong knowledge, dedication to safety, security of information, production methods, attention to detail, and equipment care. Other duties will be assigned as per operational needs.
The list of duties and responsibilities below is not exclusive or exhaustive, and the employee will be required to undertake such duties as may reasonably be expected within the scope of the
position. All employees are required to be professional, cooperative, and flexible in line with the
requirements of the position.
Operational / Technical Execution
- Assisting with efficiently completing day-to-day administrative duties.
- Assisting with maintaining payroll/HR data ensuring the information is kept up to date.
- Sort and file resumes for recruitment campaigns.
- Assist with recruitment efforts.
- Process referrals for all pre-employment conditions including background checks and pre-employment medicals.
- Employee orientation and communications when required.
- Training logistics for onboarding process.
- Preparation and distribution of company employee communications.
- Scanning and digitization of existing department documents.
General Administration and Controls
- Administrative tasks such as answering phones, relaying critical information and managing correspondence related to HR functions.
- Carry out routine reporting and administrative duties as required.
- Prepare requisitions for department orders.
- Take part in staff and health and safety meetings as required.
- Digitizing employee files.
Qualifications and Skills Requirement
- Legal to work within Canada.
- Ability to identify, analyze and resolve problems.
- Self-starter with a solid technical background and proven troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work safely and effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational and presentation skills.
- The ability to work positively with a team of professional and technical people in a changing, creative, and energetic environment.
- Possess a heightened sense of attention to detail.
- Understanding of business affairs within the mining industry is considered an asset.
- Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in Administration or Human Resources is preferred.
- Proficient with computer software and the entire Microsoft suite.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
