McEwen Inc. has four producing mines, located in Nevada, Ontario, Mexico, and Argentina, and also has exposure to copper through its subsidiary McEwen Copper, owner of the large Los Azules copper deposit in Argentina. Engineer in Training (EIT)
Reporting directly to the Chief Engineer, the EIT is responsible for performing field work in outdoor and underground environments and conditions as well as demonstrating their ability to utilize programs such as CAD for assisted drafting. They must be a committed team player with a strong knowledge of and dedication to safety and production methods. Other duties will be assigned as per operational needs.

position. All employees are required to be professional, cooperative, and flexible in line with the
requirements of the position.
Operational / Technical Execution
- Short term mine planning.
- Ground Control planning.
- Underground surveys.
- Ventilation planning and ventilation surveys.
- Long-hole drilling and blasting.
- Follow health and safety requirements.
General Administration and Controls
- Evaluate data to ensure quality standards are met.
- Assist in compiling data for internal management and corporate requests.
- Analyze and make recommendations to improve the mine operating performance.
Qualifications and Skills Requirement
- Legal to work within Canada.
- Must hold a valid Ontario Driver’s License.
- Ability to identify, analyze and resolve problems.
- Self-starter with a solid technical background and proven troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work safely and effectively in a team environment as well as independently and make decisions based on sound engineering principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational and presentation skills.
- The ability to work positively with a team of professional and technical people in a changing, creative, and energetic environment.
- Possess a heightened sense of attention to detail.
- Ability to interact with a wide variety of departments/roles within all levels of the organization.
- Highly motivated professional with intent to become a part of the McEwen Mining team supporting the Safety and Mining Process.
- Valid First Aid Certificate Considered an Asset.
- Graduated from a recognized Mining engineering program.
- Minimum 1 years’ experience of mine planning or engineering considered as asset.
- Must be familiar with long hole and cut/fill methods of mining.
- Well-developed computer skills, specifically with software such as AutoCAD / Amine, Deswik, and MS Office.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
