Position Summary
The Hangar Operations Agent is a hands-on, self-motivated team member responsible for the day-to-day upkeep, safety, and presentation of the hangar, ramp, and surrounding facility areas. This role is physical, active, and highly varied — ideal for someone who enjoys practical work, takes initiative, and can independently recognize what needs to be done and do it without constant direction. Weekly schedules will fluctuate based on operational needs and activity levels.
Key Responsibilities
Hands-On Facility & Grounds Maintenance
- Keep the hangar interior clean, organized, and work-ready at all times.
- Perform routine cleaning of floors, storage rooms, tools, and equipment.
- Complete minor repairs, basic maintenance tasks, and assist service providers as needed.
- Carry out seasonal outdoor work, including:
- Snow removal from walkways and operational areas
- Lawn and grounds maintenance during spring/summer
- Identify maintenance needs proactively and address issues before they become problems.
Vehicle, Equipment Support & Customer Service
- Safely move, park, and handle customer vehicles as part of valet service.
- Operate basic facility equipment and tools confidently and responsibly.
- Perform general labour tasks including lifting, moving, and organizing materials.
- Help with luggage, vehicle staging, and general customer needs.
- Support daily operations in a hands-on capacity wherever needed.
General Operational Duties
- Monitor facility supplies and equipment; report when restocking or repairs are required.
- Maintain clear, unobstructed, safe walkways and working areas.
- Follow all company safety procedures and contribute to a clean, hazard-free environment.
- Participate in basic safety training and emergency drills.
Scheduling & Flexibility
- Weekly hours vary based on weather, customer needs, and facility activity.
- Must be available for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and occasional on-call periods.
- Adapt to shifting priorities and tasks in a fast-moving environment.
Qualifications
- Experience in hands-on, physical, or outdoor work such as construction, landscaping, facility/maintenance, warehouse, mechanical, automotive, labour, or similar roles.
- Comfortable using basic tools, equipment, and performing general maintenance tasks.
- Strong work ethic with a self-starter mindset — sees what needs to be done and does it.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently without constant supervision.
- Good communication skills and a customer-friendly attitude.
- Ability to lift, move, and carry materials; comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all seasons.
- Valid driver’s licence with clean driving record.
