About Us
Dentist Finder is a tech-enabled dental marketplace helping Canadians find and book top-rated dentists based on their needs and preferences. Patients can search, match, and book online in minutes. We recently closed our funding round and are now expanding the team to support our next stage of growth.
Role Overview
We’re hiring a founding engineer to lead development of real-time scheduling integrations. Currently, patients are able to request appointments, but all time slots appear available — regardless of a clinic’s actual schedule. Your role will be to connect our platform to dental practice management systems so we can display real-time availability and enable patients to request appointments from live, open slots.
This is a key technical role with significant ownership. You’ll be responsible for building the infrastructure that powers our core booking experience.
What You'll Do
- Use Sikka ONE API to build integrations with third-party dental practice management systems (e.g., Dentrix, Cleardent, ABELDent)
- Normalize availability data and sync it with our internal booking system
- Design and implement secure APIs to handle appointment scheduling across clinics
- Work with authentication protocols (e.g., OAuth, API tokens) and build reliable webhook workflows
- Collaborate directly with the founder to ship quickly and prioritize effectively
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience as a backend or full-stack engineer
- Strong experience with third-party API integrations and data normalization
- Proficiency in Node.js and Next.js
- Experience working with webhooks, scheduling logic, and calendar systems
- Bonus: familiarity with dental or healthcare PMS (e.g., EMR, EHR) integrations
- Comfortable operating independently and building systems from the ground up
Compensation
- Salary: $100,000 – $130,000 CAD
- Equity: 0.40% – 0.75% stock options
- Fully remote within Canada
How to Apply
If you’ve worked on a project involving third-party API integrations or scheduling systems, please start by sending a brief description and code sample (e.g., GitHub link, demo link, screenshots or write-up) to kathan@dentistfinder.ai . Then, kindly continue your application through LinkedIn.
We review applications on a rolling basis, but will prioritize those who submit relevant work.
