Middleware Administrator – IBM MQ & Messaging Systems (Intermediate)

About the Role
We are seeking a Middleware Administrator to support enterprise messaging platforms across North and South America. You will manage IBM MQ/RabbitMQ environments, support application teams, and contribute to middleware design, installation, troubleshooting, and enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and support IBM MQ and/or RabbitMQ
- Provide L2/L3 support for developers and application teams
- Troubleshoot middleware issues and recommend long-term fixes
- Document configurations and recurring issues
- Participate or lead middleware upgrade/automation projects
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to design scalable solutions
- Evaluate new tools/technologies to strengthen platform capabilities
Required Skills
- 2–5 years of hands-on IBM MQ experience (design, install, upgrades, migration)
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills
- Middleware installation, configuration, and upgrade experience
Nice to Have
- Python scripting
- Microservices knowledge
- Experience with Puppet/Chef
- Cloud exposure (AWS preferred)
- Familiarity with JIRA, Jenkins, Docker, Elasticsearch
