The Opportunity
We are seeking a QA + SRE Hybrid Engineer to help ensure our internal platforms and client-facing tools are stable, consistent, performant, and reliable. This individual will work closely with developers, product managers, and designers to define testing strategies, write automated and manual tests, and proactively identify issues before they reach production - while also contributing to reliability engineering efforts like monitoring, alerting, and incident prevention.
This is an ideal role for someone who takes pride in finding edge cases, improving test coverage, and supporting application uptime and resilience with every release.
Primary Responsibilities
- Create and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web-based applications
- Identify and log defects in coordination with product and development teams
- Define and build automated regression test suites using tools like Playwright or Cypress
- Collaborate on defining acceptance criteria and participate in agile sprint planning
- Ensure comprehensive testing across devices, browsers, and user scenarios
- Monitor production systems, define SLOs/SLIs, and proactively identify reliability issues
- Support incident response and root cause analysis alongside DevOps
- Assist in setting up test environments and CI/CD quality gates
- Document bugs, edge cases, and known issues for both technical and non-technical audiences Promote a quality- and reliability-first culture within the team

- Strong understanding of how users interact with software and where things break
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in quality assurance or software testing
- Experience designing and maintaining automated tests across React/TypeScript frontends, Python backends, and CI/CD pipelines
- Skilled in QA analysis, including test planning, exploratory testing, defect triage, and regression validation
- Familiarity with modern testing frameworks like Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium
- Understanding of REST APIs and ability to validate backend integrations
- Familiarity with system observability, SLOs/SLIs, and monitoring tools like Datadog, New Relic, or Prometheus
- Exposure to CI/CD tools and Git-based workflows
- Strong written communication skills, including documentation
- Bonus: experience testing financial software
Compensation
- Base Salary between $90k–$110k per annum, depending on experience (Most candidates are expected to fall within the midpoint of the posted salary range, depending on experience and fit.)
- Up to 15% annual performance bonus based on both personal and firm performance
- $3,000 in annual Health benefits via participation in the firm’s health spending account.
- Potential to participate in the firm's profit-sharing plan based on performance.
- Up to $1,000 per annum towards relevant education expenses.
- Up to $600 per year towards wellness
- 3 weeks’ vacation per annum.
*For many of our clients, we provide consulting services for all of their assets and use the Assets Under Consultation metric of measurement as we believe we have an impact on all assets held by clients, whether or not we directly introduced those assets to them. Assets Under Consultation is different from the more traditional Assets Under Management metric of measurement.
