Position Profile
We are seeking a Condition Monitoring Technician, Mobile Mining Equipment on behalf of our global client to play a key role in improving the reliability and performance of Caterpillar mining equipment. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you’ll collaborate closely with site teams, remote CM specialists, and reliability engineers to enhance equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and strengthen maintenance decision-making.

What You’ll Do
- Review, interpret, and action Condition Monitoring recommendations from remote teams
- Validate equipment issues using onsite inspections and data and escalate issues as needed
- Track accepted, scheduled, and completed recommendations to support KPIs
- Maintain and prioritize a backlog of equipment deficiencies and work with planners to schedule maintenance
- Monitor asset health, analyze inspection reports, failures and CM data, and support component decision-making
- Conduct onsite inspections, including magnetic plug checks, filter cut-outs, and oil samples
- Identify operational risks and opportunities for improvement
- Collaborate with customers, remote CM teams, and reliability engineers
- Provide fleet health reports and contribute to continuous improvement
- Recommend enhancements to data capture, workflows, and maintenance processes
What You Bring
- Heavy Duty Mechanic, Mechanical/Mining Engineering, or similar background
- 5+ years of mechanical experience with mobile equipment (haul trucks, shovels, graders, dozers)
- Strong understanding of heavy equipment systems and component functionality
- Knowledge of engines, powertrain, hydraulics, electronics, and telematics
- Knowledge of Condition Monitoring data types and inspection practices along with fluid analysis interpretation and equipment lifecycle planning
- Ability to interpret technical data and correlate multiple data sources
- Experience with CAT dealers is an asset
