We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to support business initiatives, system enhancements, and process improvements within an insurance environment. This role works closely with stakeholders across business and technology teams to understand needs, document requirements, and support end-to-end project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Work with business users to gather, clarify, and document requirements for projects and system enhancements.
- Analyze processes and identify impacts, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop clear documentation such as requirements, workflows, and process models.
- Support project planning through cost/benefit analysis, risk assessment, and defining scope.
- Assist in testing activities, including preparing test cases, validating results, and supporting user training.
- Coordinate tasks across teams and ensure alignment between business and IT stakeholders.
- Help evaluate project impacts and ensure requirements are understood across units.
- Participate in system configuration reviews, testing cycles, and implementation activities.
- Manage timelines, priorities, and deliverables to keep projects on track.
- Contribute to process optimization and business process re-engineering initiatives.
- Provide guidance and support to team members during project execution.
Qualifications
- 5+years of experience as a Business Analyst within the insurance industry.
- Strong skills in requirements gathering, documentation, and process analysis.
- Experience supporting system or technology-related projects.
- Ability to create workflows, process maps, and project documentation.
- Strong analytical thinking, communication skills, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Experience contributing to testing, implementation, and system enhancements.
- Background in process improvement methodologies (e.g., LEAN, Six Sigma) is an asset.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
