We’re partnering with a well-established engineering consultancy that’s looking to add a Senior Electrical Engineer to their Power & Utilities group. This is a great opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys leading teams, managing client relationships, and driving technical excellence across complex infrastructure and utility projects.
The Opportunity
In this role, you’ll combine technical design expertise with project management and team leadership . You’ll be responsible for delivering a range of electrical engineering projects — from distribution systems and EV charging infrastructure to institutional and commercial developments — while helping shape the long-term growth of the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of electrical design packages, drawings, and specifications for power distribution, lighting, and utility projects.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to engineers and technologists, encouraging professional development.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor and primary contact for clients and stakeholders.
- Oversee project execution — managing scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
- Review, approve, and stamp deliverables as Professional of Record (POR) .
- Support proposal writing, cost estimation, and technical input for RFP submissions.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and client expectations.
- Participate in business development efforts and contribute to client growth strategies.
About You
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with 8+ years of experience in electrical design and project delivery.
- Proven ability to supervise, mentor, and develop technical teams.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a client-focused mindset.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously within budget and schedule.
- Familiarity with utility or power distribution systems ; experience with Western Canadian utilities is a plus.
- Comfortable taking ownership of deliverables and driving project outcomes.
