Title: SAP Test Lead

Responsibilities:
- Leading a team of testing professionals in providing a broad range of test services and solutions, ensuring established standards are met, planned objectives are achieved and assuring all work within the established Frameworks for testing planning, delivery, execution, measurement and continuous process improvement.
- Pro-active engagement with all involved stakeholders (project team members, third party vendors/ service partners and IT teams) to deliver all phases of testing
- Provide input to and review of Project Test Strategy, Test Plan and Entry/Exit criteria with appropriate project partners
- Manage, create, and deliver testing plans that align with the SDLC selected for the project
- Ensure the test process, methodologies and tools are applied appropriately and track test phase entry/exit criteria as agreed to by all stakeholders
- Lead the team in planning, preparing and executing effective test efforts for all phases of FSM testing across multiple releases
- Responsible for review and interpretation of requirement traceability matrix to driving testing business requirements
- Primary liaison for testing resources and business participants on user acceptance test support
- Manage and support the release QA team in creating reusable test assets for both manual and automated test scripts for all phases of testing
- Monitor, assess and mitigate testing risks; monitor and track testing progress
- Manage the defect process ensuring defects are documented, tracked and reported to facilitate timely fixes
- Ensure timely notification of issues/problems and make recommendations for issue/problem resolution to project team and resolve and/or escalate testing issues where required
- Report the status of test planning, defects and execution activities, including regular status updated to the project team using quality metrics
- Prioritize testing tasks based on goals and risks of projects and ensure testing milestones, activities and tasks are completed as scheduled
- Manage effective use of testing tools and testing automation process fundamentals
- Contribute to project readiness assessments and participate and contribute to lessons learned
- Lead the continuous, measured improvement of testing processes, strategies, plans and frameworks
- Provide assistance/guidance to direct reports on policy, procedures, testing tasks and training in general.
Must Have:
- Minimum 10 years of experience working in an SAP as a Quality Assurance Lead/Manager or similar role
- Minimum 10 years of experience working in an SAP project environment with +5 project implementations delivered
- Expert knowledge of Business Processes in Supply Chain, Finance, Merchandising, Marketing, Retail, WMS an asset
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with the proven ability to communicate openly and effectively with all levels of diverse functional groups to achieve mutual understandings and results
- Promotes an environment conducive to creativity; always seeking and receptive to new ideas and approaches
- Strong analytical and technical investigation skills
- Effective listening skills and flexibility in approach to solutions
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
- Ability to reliably execute to a plan and demonstrated dependability and ownership to ensure project success
- Expert level experience in Test Management Tools; experience with Jira considered an asset
