Reporting directly to our client’s Fleet & Assets Manager:
- You are responsible for evaluating and ensuring vehicle safety through preventative maintenance as required and all in compliance with all Ministry of Transportation (MTO) and company guidelines. This will include body work:
- Structural and body repair: Straightening and aligning frames, repairing or replacing body panels, and ensuring doors, hoods, and other parts are correctly aligned.
- Panel work: Filling, grinding, sanding, and finishing body surfaces to match factory specifications.
- Component replacement: Removing and replacing a variety of parts, including glass, sheet metal, steering and suspension components, and interior parts like seat belts and air bags.
- Electrical and mechanical work: Repairing or replacing electrical and vacuum components, wiring harnesses, and air-conditioning systems.
- You will utilize parts from inventory or order parts necessary through the Fleet Management software to make repairs.
- You will complete repairs in a timely manner.
- You will be servicing vehicles in accordance with corporate policies and procedures.
- You will keep your work environment clean and tidy.
- You will complete required reports as directed (i.e. sign-off on driver-initiated repair logs and logbooks, and PM service logs by division).
- The possibility for travel within Ontario to assist in other garages exists. Your ability to travel (expenses paid) is an asset.
Your Profile
- You are registered with the STO as 310B Automotive Mechanic
- You have proven experience with reliable references.
- You have experience and working knowledge of light duty diesel repair, as well as gasoline.
- You have Superior written and verbal communication skills and sound organizational competencies.
- You demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and team-building skills.
- You have excellent proven customer service experience.
- You have a valid G class driving license.
- You are a safe driver with a clean driving record
