Director of Product
Hybrid – Toronto, Ontario - Full-time
Our client operates a national technology infrastructure platform that supports organizations looking for secure, in-country hosting, cloud solutions, and managed services. Their mission is to help companies scale without giving up control over their data or their operations. The team is about 120 people, intentionally tight-knit, where your work is visible and your ideas carry weight.
They’re looking for a Director of Product who can guide the vision, development, and evolution of a growing portfolio of infrastructure, cloud, and service-based offerings. This is a strategic role that sits at the center of the business, shaping future products during a key growth phase.
You’ll collaborate with Operations, Engineering, IT, Finance, and Sales to turn customer needs and market opportunities into offerings that are commercially sound, technically strong, and aligned with long-term growth.
What You’ll Be Doing
Product Strategy & Vision
- Build and maintain a long-term product strategy across colocation, cloud, managed services, and emerging technologies.
- Identify new opportunities in hybrid cloud, edge solutions, and high-value service layers that leverage the existing infrastructure footprint.
- Create go-to-market frameworks for enterprise and wholesale customers, including options like leasing, power models, and customized builds.
- Track industry trends, customer feedback, and competitive developments to strengthen differentiation.
- Work with senior leadership to align product initiatives with business priorities and capital plans.
Product Development & Lifecycle
- Lead the full product lifecycle from concept and business case through launch, adoption, and eventual retirement.
- Translate market and customer requirements into clear technical and operational specifications.
- Partner with Engineering, IT, and Operations to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and built to last.
- Support Sales and Marketing with positioning, value propositions, and sales collateral.
Commercial Ownership
- Build financial models, pricing strategies, and ROI analyses for new or evolving offerings.
- Monitor product performance, including revenue, margins, and utilization, and adjust direction where needed.
- Participate in deal-level pricing reviews when necessary.
Leadership & Influence
- Represent the customer across the organization, ensuring the product direction is grounded in real needs.
- Offer thought leadership on cloud adoption, multi-cloud approaches, AI workloads, sustainability, and regulatory concerns.
- Grow and mentor a product team as the organization scales.
What They’re Looking For
- 8+ years in product management within data infrastructure, cloud services, or enterprise technology.
- Experience developing and launching cloud or hybrid cloud products.
- Strong commercial instincts and comfort building financial and pricing models.
- Background in business case development, ideally involving large infrastructure or construction-related projects.
- Familiarity with energy and power markets is a plus.
- Excellent cross-functional communication skills.
- Knowledge of the AI ecosystem, including GPUs, training, and inference.
- A mix of strategic thinking and hands-on execution; someone who performs well in a high-growth environment.
- Strong presentation and influencing skills.
