Job Title : Senior Business Systems Analyst (BSA) – Banking & Regulatory Domain
Location : Hybrid (4 days in-office, 1 day remote)

Role Summary:
The Business Analyst will play a key role in supporting regulatory change initiatives across the organization. This role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to translate regulatory requirements into business and functional specifications, and hands-on experience working on compliance-driven projects. The successful candidate must have demonstrable experience analyzing regulatory frameworks and ensuring organizational processes, systems, and controls meet regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Analysis & Compliance
- Interpret and analyze new or updated regulations, guidelines, and industry standards (e.g., FCA, PRA, GDPR, SOX, Basel III, MiFID II, AML/KYC, etc. depending on industry).
- Assess regulatory impacts on business processes, policies, systems, and data flows.
- Ensure traceability from regulatory requirement → business requirement → functional requirement → test case.
Business & Functional Analysis
- Gather, document, and validate business requirements using interviews, workshops, process mapping, and data analysis.
- Produce detailed BRDs, FRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
- Work closely with compliance, risk, legal, operations, and technology teams to translate rules into actionable requirements.
Project Delivery
- Support end-to-end project lifecycle from scoping through implementation and post-go-live validation.
- Participate in solution design discussions ensuring regulatory requirements are met.
- Support UAT planning, test case creation, defect management, and sign-off.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as the liaison between business teams, compliance, technology, and external regulators when needed.
- Communicate progress, risks, issues, and recommendations clearly to senior stakeholders.
Documentation & Governance
- Maintain documentation for audits and regulatory reviews.
- Support operational readiness, procedure updates, and control enhancements.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 10+ years of Business Analyst experience (or level appropriate to role).
- Proven regulatory project experience is mandatory , such as:
- Financial services: AML/KYC, Sanctions, Basel III/IV, EMIR, MiFID II, Dodd-Frank, Consumer Duty, IFRS 9, GDPR, etc.
- Pharmacy/healthcare: FDA, EMA, GxP, HIPAA, ISO standards.
- Energy/other sectors: SOX, HSE regulations, ESG reporting rules, etc.
- Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks, risk management, audit processes, or regulatory operations.
- Experience writing BRDs/FRDs, user stories, process maps (BPMN), and data dictionaries.
- Solid understanding of SDLC and delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid).
- Proficiency with BA tools: JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Lucidchart, SQL (advantage).

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Law, Information Systems, or related field.
