Pay: $80,000 -$90,000 depending on experience
Overview
Our client, a multinational provider of office and technology solutions, is seeking a highly motivated and strategic Business Planning Manager to support the growth of their Office Solutions Group. The successful candidate will drive market analysis, develop business strategies, and provide data-driven insights that contribute to long-term organizational objectives.
Experience in the consumer products or consumer electronics sector , particularly within companies dealing with hardware or product-based manufacturing environments , is considered a strong asset. This role offers the opportunity to work cross-functionally, influence key business decisions, and contribute to strategic initiatives within a dynamic and evolving industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify new business opportunities and potential risks, including within consumer and technology-focused product markets.
- Develop and implement strategic business plans including financial projections, long-term growth strategies, and operational initiatives.
- Analyze sales reports, financial statements, KPIs and other performance metrics to evaluate progress and drive recommendations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, Marketing, Operations, etc.) to gather insights and align business strategies.
- Prepare and present business cases, detailed forecasts, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to anticipate market changes.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of implemented strategies and propose adjustments as needed.
- Facilitate strategic planning sessions, workshops, and discussions with stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Business Administration or a related field is an asset.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in business planning, business analysis, or a related strategic role.
- Background in consumer products or consumer electronics, particularly within hardware or product-based manufacturing environments, is a strong asset.
- Proven experience with strategic planning, financial modeling, and data-driven decision-making.
- Strong analytical thinking with the ability to research and interpret complex data.
- Proficiency in Excel or other analytical tools is an asset.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly.
- A strategic mindset with a proactive “go-getter” attitude and a desire to drive business results.
- Japanese language skills or experience working with Japanese companies is an asset.
