We are recruiting an experienced Validation Engineer (Infotainment Systems) to join our team to support our client in the automotive industry.
NOTE:
- Hybrid
- Must be willing and able to travel to the USA, without restrictions, effective on the start date
- Valid driver's license is required as well as a clean driving record
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Infotainment, Connected Services, Vehicle Access, Start, & Security voice of the customer (VoC) vehicle-level validation and vehicle level DVP&R development and execution
- Support the vehicle integration and validation process by owning the E2E validation of connected services features as well as Customer Functional Objective (CFO) testing
- Work with Performance Platform Engineers to issue the appropriate documentation for issue resolution including supporting the team where the issue crosses multiple vehicle discipline
- Support the vehicle integration team through ensuring the vehicle fleet has up-to-date software and hardware and have the ability to collect necessary data from vehicles when required
- Provide mule vehicle support and mule issue resolution support
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited program
- 3-5 years of related experience
- Vehicle level validation experience - CAN Log capture experience with triage experience
- Proficient with CAN tools & Radio/TBM logging tools
- Ability to read technical specifications, test plans, and be organized to provide clear results
- Connectivity, infotainment, and vehicle access feature experience
- Demonstrated communication skills (written and oral)
- Strategic thinker
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to summarize and present work
- Proven ability to deliver in a fast-paced work environment with minimum assistance
PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university
- Working knowledge of FMEA, design validation (DV) and process validation (PV) (DVPR), and test planning
- Three years of vehicle integration and validation experience or equivalent
- DFSS Green Belt
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
- $42.00 - $46.00 (depending on experience)
- Paid Benefits after 90 days (individual and family) – extended medical, out-of-country coverage, dental etc.
- Pension eligibility, with employer match, after 1 full year of work (open enrollment every October)
