Key Responsibilities
As a Mechanical Design & Analysis Engineer at Mostavio, you will play a critical role in creating smart, efficient, and manufacturable designs for our eVTOL platform. You’ll work closely with our multidisciplinary team to design and analyze components made from aluminum alloys and composite materials , ensuring aerospace-level performance, safety, and weight optimization.
- Develop detailed CAD models and mechanical designs for airframe structures, mechanical subsystems, and assemblies.
- Conduct FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and structural simulations to validate designs under aerodynamic, static, and vibrational loads.
- Analyze and optimize composite and aluminum structures for strength, stiffness, and weight efficiency.
- Collaborate with electrical, propulsion, and systems engineers to ensure seamless integration across disciplines.
- Support manufacturing and prototyping , translating design intent into production-ready parts.
- Contribute to design reviews and documentation following aerospace engineering standards .
- Identify opportunities for design innovation and simplification without compromising safety or performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering , or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical design, structural analysis, or airframe development (aerospace or advanced mobility preferred).
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, CATIA, or Siemens NX .
- Experience with FEA tools (ANSYS, Abaqus, or similar).
- Strong understanding of aluminum and composite material properties , joining methods, and fatigue analysis.
- Knowledge of aerospace design principles , tolerances, and certification processes.
- Hands-on experience in composite fabrication, layup, or prototyping is a strong asset.
- Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and teamwork skills.
Bonus Skills
- Experience with topology optimization , lightweight design , or additive manufacturing .
- Familiarity with thermal and vibration analysis .
- Exposure to flight vehicle structures or UAV/eVTOL systems .
