Our client, a well-established civil construction firm with a strong reputation for delivering complex infrastructure and deep excavation projects, is seeking a Project Coordinator to join their team in Surrey, BC. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their construction career who is eager to learn and grow within a supportive, high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the project team with day-to-day coordination of civil construction projects.
- Help prepare project documentation including RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, and daily reports.
- Track materials, equipment, and subcontractor progress.
- Support scheduling updates, quantity tracking, and cost control tasks.
- Participate in site visits, safety meetings, and progress reviews.
- Assist in maintaining organized project files and documentation in the company’s project management platform.
- Communicate with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to support smooth project execution.
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
- 1 to 2 years of experience in the construction industry; relevant co-op terms will be considered if full-time experience is limited.
- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Strong interest in civil construction, infrastructure, and field operations.
- Familiarity with construction drawings, specifications, and basic project processes.
- Proficiency in MS Office; experience with project management software is an asset.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
