Role Overview
This role is designed for a seasoned recruiter who thrives in a high-volume, fast-paced, evolving environment. The specialist will lead full-cycle recruitment efforts while shaping sourcing strategies, nurturing talent pipelines, and supporting multiple business units with strong stakeholder partnership. Autonomy, adaptability, and a calm, relationship-oriented approach are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage high-volume, full-cycle recruitment for assigned business groups.
- Conduct intake/strategy meetings with hiring leaders to clarify job requirements and expectations.
- Post roles, screen candidates, conduct phone interviews, and manage interview scheduling.
- Negotiate offers and manage reference checks and background checks through third-party partners.
- Handle 15–20 requisitions at one time, ranging from entry-level to mid-senior roles.
- Develop creative sourcing strategies to attract diverse talent, leveraging LinkedIn, social platforms, and niche avenues.
- Build and maintain relationships with colleges, universities, and professional associations to increase hiring visibility.
- Coordinate participation in job fairs, especially for co-op and early talent hiring.
- Support and promote internal employee referral programs and communications.
- Share market intelligence, trends, and competitive insights to inform hiring strategy and workforce planning.
- Provide consistent updates—written and verbal—to Recruitment leadership and HR partners.
- Deliver an exceptional candidate and stakeholder experience grounded in responsiveness, service, and inclusivity.
- Network and build strong talent pipelines with industry professionals.
- Take on additional responsibilities based on evolving business needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent recruitment experience.
- 4–5+ years of progressive full-cycle recruitment experience.
- Strong bilingual proficiency in English and French.
- Experience in healthcare, pharmacy, or regulated industries is an asset.
- Demonstrated success in roles requiring direct sourcing and proactive talent identification.
- Strong organizational ability with capacity to manage high requisition volumes.
- Experience partnering with executives and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent judgment, discretion, and influencing skills.
- Proficiency with Workday, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), and ATS systems.
- Passion for recruitment and a desire to continue growing within the Talent Acquisition field.
Work Model Notes
- Local candidates (Mississauga area) follow a hybrid model with two on-site days per week.
- Candidates located in Montreal or Ottawa may be considered for a remote work model.
- Work environment is fast-paced, fluid, and often unstructured—requiring independence, adaptability, and resilience.
- Strong interpersonal intelligence is key: ability to read personalities, flex communication styles, and maintain composure under pressure.
