Senior Engineering Specialist – Software & Hardware (DO-178C / DO-254)
Join a world-class aerospace program and ensure compliance and innovation in airborne software and electronic hardware. This is a 36-month contract , hybrid (2 days/week in Montreal or Toronto), with no overtime and occasional travel.

Key Responsibilities:
- Review and assess airborne software and hardware designs
- Evaluate certification plans and compliance with DO-178C, DO-254 standards
- Conduct technical audits and safety-of-flight reviews
- Analyse test results and prepare compliance reports
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to SWEL roadmap
Requirements:
- Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Degree in Electronics, Software, or Aerospace Engineering
- 15+ years in engineering (10+ in aerospace)
- Expertise in FPGA/ASIC development and embedded software
- Deep knowledge of DO-178C, DO-254, FAA/EASA standards
- Familiarity with DOORS/JAMA and programming languages (C, C++, Ada95, Assembly, Python)
- Membership in OIQ preferred
- Excellent communication skills; French is an asset
