Reporting to the Supervisor, Asset Management, Sustainable Infrastructure, the incumbent will:
- Develop, implement, and monitor preventative and corrective maintenance programs based on Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Manuals and analysis of the equipment life and performance to achieve capital asset management goals for new and existing equipment.
- Order and maintain inventory of critical parts and equipment.
- Develop life cycle analysis for equipment and major component replacement using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and Asset Management Program.
- Design new equipment hierarchies and track capital work from installation, through contractor warranty/commissioning period to final turn over to Plant staff.
- Create, update, and maintain CMMS hierarchies, collect technical data for new and existing equipment, maintain the onsite technical library and field reference documents.
- Assist Operation and Maintenance departments with changes to Preventive Maintenance (PM) procedures.
- Work with the CMMS Software Supplier to keep software updated, obtain technical assistance, and coordinate and instruct/train Plant staff in the use of CMMS.
- Research and recommend new technologies for the CMMS with the latest version available from the software provider.
- Present asset performance reports to Management, Maintenance Department and Operations.
- Review and interpret construction drawings
The successful applicant will possess:
- A Post Secondary diploma in Environmental, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering Technology or a related discipline.
- Registration or be eligible for registration with OACETT.
- Several years of work-related experience in the field of Environmental Technology, Industrial Maintenance Operations or in Water Supply.
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) preferably Maximo.
- Advanced computer software skills working with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), Outlook, AutoCAD, GIS, and PeopleSoft FIMS.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, project management, analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
- A valid Ontario Class G Driver's Licence.
