Job Title: CAD Designer
Job Description
As a CAD Designer, you will create solid models, layouts, and associative assembly and detail drawings from sketches, notes, or direction from senior designers or Project Engineers. You will design mobile defense subsystems using NX CAD software integrated into the Teamcenter database, perform design calculations, and incorporate engineering change requests into existing Technical Data Packages. Additionally, you will conduct dynamic motion and interference analyses while adhering to stringent industry, company, and military standards.
Responsibilities
- Create solid models, layouts, and associative assembly and detail drawings.
- Design mobile defense subsystems with minimal supervision utilizing NX CAD software.
- Perform design calculations and trade-off studies as required.
- Incorporate engineering change requests into existing Technical Data Packages.
- Conduct dynamic motion and interference analyses.
Essential Skills
- University degree or college diploma in Electrical or Mechanical field.
- Minimum 1 year of experience with CAD software in part modeling, drafting, and assemblies.
- Strong knowledge of the application and interpretation of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Demonstrated strength in MS Office applications.
- Ability to travel (5% Canadian) and (5% US & International) with a valid passport.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years mechanical design utilizing CAD tools in a related industry.
- Knowledge of Teamcenter Product Data Management application.

The position is 100% onsite in an office setting within a manufacturing environment.
