Title: 1461476 - Connected Services Systems and Validation Engineer
Job Description:
- The Client Connected Vehicle Team is revolutionizing the vehicle ownership experience through the invention of software products delivered to Uconnect customers through a variety of digital touchpoints including mobile apps, websites, and in-vehicle infotainment systems.
- The team is seeking candidates that will be responsible for Infotainment, Connected Services, Vehicle Access, Start, & Security voice of the customer (VoC) vehicle-level validation and vehicle level DVP&R development and execution.
- The Performance Test Engineer will support the vehicle integration and validation process by owning the E2E validation of connected services features as well as Customer Functional Objective (CFO) testing.
- The Performance Test Engineer will work with Performance Platform Engineers to issue the appropriate documentation for issue resolution including supporting the team where the issue crosses multiple vehicle disciplines.
- The Performance Test Engineer will support the vehicle integration team through ensuring the vehicle fleet has up-to-date software and hardware and have the ability to collect necessary data from vehicles when required.
- They will also provide mule vehicle support and mule issue resolution support.
Requirements:
- Vehicle level validation experience
- Demonstrated communication skills (written and oral)
- Strategic thinker
- Proficient with CAN tools & Radio/TBM logging tools
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to summarize and present work
- Proven ability to deliver in a fast-paced work environment with minimum assistance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an ABET accredited university
- Working knowledge of FMEA, design validation (DV) and process validation (PV) (DVPR), and test planning
- Three years of vehicle integration and validation experience or equivalent
- DFSS Green Belt
- Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an ABET accredited program
