We’re excited to share an opportunity for an existing vacancy as Millwright (Industrial Mechanic). This is an excellent opportunity to step into a highly automated environment, working within a clean, modern plant that invests heavily in preventative maintenance and cutting-edge technology. You’ll be part of a collaborative maintenance team focused on equipment uptime, operational excellence, and safety. This role offers a balanced days/afternoons rotation with no continental shifts – perfect for individuals looking for stability while still being challenged technically.
Daily responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining automated production machinery, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
- Performing preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime
- Installing new or upgraded mechanical equipment and supporting commissioning activities
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
- Collaborating closely with production and engineering teams to diagnose root causes and implement sustainable solutions
- Participating in continuous improvement initiatives and contributing to maintenance optimization
- Ensuring all work adheres to health & safety standards and corporate compliance requirements
Mandatory Requirements:
- Valid Ontario 433A Red Seal Millwright Certificate of Qualification (Industrial Mechanic)
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Strong troubleshooting capabilities on automated and mechanical systems
- Ability to work on a days/afternoons rotation
- Solid understanding of safety protocols and lockout/tagout procedures
- Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documents
Hourly Rate: $44 – $46 per hour
