Our client, a reputable general contractor in the Niagara Region, is seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to lead the delivery of retail and commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate is a strong on-site leader with a track record of completing projects on time, on budget, and to a high standard of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all daily site operations for retail and commercial construction projects from start to completion.
- Lead and coordinate site crews, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project milestones are met.
- Enforce health, safety, and environmental policies and promote a safe work culture.
- Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and schedules to ensure work is completed per design intent.
- Coordinate inspections, resolve on-site issues, and maintain communication with the project manager and client.
- Track site progress, prepare daily logs, and report updates on schedule, cost, and quality.
- Manage site logistics, deliveries, and sequencing to maximize productivity.
- Ensure quality workmanship and adherence to building codes and company standards.

- 8+ years of experience as a Site Superintendent in retail, commercial, or tenant improvement construction.
- Proven experience managing interior fit-outs, ground-up builds, or renovations for retail and commercial clients.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, safety, and quality control.
- Excellent leadership, organization, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam) considered an asset.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the Niagara Region.
