Permanent, Full-time
We're building something new. United Way of Calgary and Area is in the middle of a significant transformation—one where AI isn't just a buzzword, but a practical tool to amplify our mission and extend our reach in the community.
We're hiring AI Specialists (up to three positions) to help us get there. You'll work across our core platforms—Salesforce and Microsoft 365—while also shaping how our teams use tools like Claude, ChatGPT, and Copilot in their daily work. This isn't a role where you'll be handed a playbook. You'll help write it.
If you are passionate about your community, aspire to make an impact, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and want to make a difference, then we’re looking for you!
What you will do
Reporting to the Manager, Automation & Business Intelligence, you'll split your time across three areas, with the mix depending on your strengths and our evolving needs:
Salesforce AI
- Implement Einstein AI features, build Agentforce solutions to automate donor and program inquiries, optimize Data Cloud for smarter insights, and develop AI-powered automation for fundraising operations.
Microsoft Copilot & Enterprise AI
- Support the organization-wide rollout of Copilot, build custom applications in Copilot Studio, and help teams use AI tools effectively and responsibly.
Training & Use Case Discovery
- Partner with business teams to find high-impact opportunities for AI, conduct discovery sessions, deliver training at all skill levels, and contribute to our AI governance framework.
You'll work closely with our Salesforce developers, our Innovation team, and leaders across the organization. Some days you'll be deep in platform configuration; other days you'll be facilitating a workshop or helping a fundraiser understand how AI can save them hours of research.
What you will bring
Skills & Experience:
- 2-4 years of experience working with enterprise platforms that have AI capabilities.
- Hands-on experience with either Salesforce AI features (Einstein, Agentforce) or Microsoft Copilot/Copilot Studio.
- Familiarity with general-purpose AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini) and a practical understanding of prompt engineering.
- The ability to translate business needs into technical solutions—and explain technical concepts to people who aren't technical.
- A genuine interest in helping others learn and adopt new tools.
What will set you apart
- Salesforce certifications (AI Associate, AI Specialist, Administrator, Agentforce)
- Microsoft certifications (AI-900, MS-900, PL-900)
- Experience in the nonprofit sector or with fundraising/donor management systems
- Background in service design, change management, or adult learning
