We are looking for a Change Management Specialist for a multi year Budget Management Transformation Project.
Ideally, looking for a Change Management Specialist who has previous experience in leading Change Management in budget management initiatives in a public sector company and experience working with financial processes and finance teams.
This is a hybrid role with 1-2 days onsite in Burnaby. The initial contract duration will be 3-6 months with possibility of extension.
Responsibilities:
Preparing an approach:
• Define Success: Establish change profiles, success criteria, and align people with success metrics.
• Define Impact: Identify impacted groups, assess change impacts, consider group-specific needs, and promote adoption and usage.
• Define Approach: Identify risks, anticipate resistance, and determine necessary resources, structures, and roles.
Manage Change:
• Plan and Act: Develop change management plans, prepare roles, and identify key action items and milestones.
• Track Performance: Monitor initiatives, outcomes, strengths, and opportunities.
• Adapt Actions: Develop action plans using an agile approach.
Sustain Outcomes:
• Review Performance: Evaluate initiative progress, change management activities, and document lessons learned.
• Activate Sustainment: Identify gaps, set goals and priorities, and develop sustainment actions, roles, and timelines.
• Transfer Ownership: Celebrate successes and transfer knowledge and assets.
Training
• Identify end users and core functionalities of projects.
• Evaluate changes from current business processes.
• Collaborate with the training team to develop training plans and resources, and assist with training deliverables.
Communication
• Deliver ongoing communications with sponsors, project teams, subject matter experts, and end users throughout the project lifecycle.
• Solicit employee feedback through surveys, meetings, and emails.
• Develop change management strategies to enhance project team efficiency.
• Consult with team members to identify and manage anticipated resistance.
• Manage relationships and provide feedback to project teams to assess the impact of changes on employees.
• Manage expectations of stakeholders and executive sponsors.
• Address change management issues and escalate to senior management as needed.
• Create and manage change management documentation, including risk and readiness assessments.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years of successfully executing change management as a Change Management Specialist or Practitioner.
• Experience in creating change management plans, risk assessments, communication planning, tracking and management of change management progress, tracking issues, and managing training.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work with cross functional teams.
