Location: Burlington, ON (Primary) - Occasional worksite travel with team Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-4:00pm Pay Rate: $27-$30/hr (based on experience) Start: Immediate Overview We are seeking a skilled MIG/TIG Welder - Fitter/Shop Technician for a temporary assignment with the potential to become permanent based on performance and overall fit. This role involves precision work on custom stainless-steel fabrication for a variety of high-end architectural and industrial applications. The position includes both shop-based work (approximately 50%) and on-site installations (approximately 50%), requiring adaptability, strong welding skills, and a hands-on mechanical mindset. A welding assessment at the Burlington facility will be required prior to starting. Key Responsibilities Welding Fabrication Perform MIG (GMAW) and TIG (GTAW) welding on stainless steel (primarily 316L and 304L). Work with light gauge materials; polishing and finishing stainless steel is an asset. Custom fabrication related to: Stainless steel swimming pools Water walls water features SS/glass artwork Structural and miscellaneous stainless-steel frameworks Execute layouts, fitting, and welding of structural steel, pipe, plate, and sheet metal. Operate manual and semi-automatic welding equipment; perform minor equipment repairs. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, specifications, and fabrication drawings. Use hand tools and measuring devices with precision and accuracy.
