Reporting to the Field Sales Director, the Territory Manager will be responsible for the implementation of the territorial sales plan to maximize sales volume and product distribution. The territory served is located in the Fraser Valley, British Columbia.
Responsibilities
- Aggressively grow Dandurand market share and presence in BCLS, Licensed Retail Stores, and licensee accounts to achieve territory revenue and growth targets.
- Drive volume and share and achieve and exceed targets by ensuring territory coverage, distribution, product placement, promotions and merchandising tactics are executed with excellence across the territory.
- Focus on building value-based relationships with customers and suppliers.
- Establish and effectively manage a sales call cycle for BCLS, LRS and licenses.
- Analyze and interpret industry data to build quality sales pitches with a focus on Return on Investment.
- Maintain an excellent understanding of our products, the competitive landscape and the customer’s business.
- Organize and attend trade events which serve to promote brands and prospect potential clients.
- Manage budgets and provide feedback, as required.
- Communicate and make recommendations based on market insights and competitive activity
- 100% compliance in tracking account calls, targets, objectives, distribution and account management in CRM platform.
- Forecast volume estimates for account purchases utilizing sales data.
- Participate in supplier visits, trade events, marketing blitz programs, and consumer events, any of which may fall outside of normal business hours.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent
- Two (2) years of experience in a sales role
- Experience in the alcoholic beverage industry (strong asset)
- WSET certification (strong asset)
Qualifications
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel and PowerPoint)
- Knowledge CRM tools
- Highly developed interpersonal skills and dynamic leadership capabilities
- Excellent communication capabilities
- Ability to analyze and interpret data
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and respect tight deadlines
- Completed training in the wine industry (WSET) is a strong asset
- Ability to attend evening and weekends events
- Own a car and a valid driver’s license
