Bilingual Damages Insurance Agent (Licensed)
Europ Assistance Canada, part of Generali Group, is looking for a bilingual licensed Damages Insurance Agent to join our Travel Customer Service team in Canada.
We are searching for an experienced, licensed Damages Insurance Agent candidate to join our team and contribute to the building of the local operations in Canada. Europ Assistance is a global company actively doing business in over 200 countries in the delivery of their products and services.
The Canadian business unit will strategically focus its efforts on the Travel Insurance industry with the distribution of product offerings and associated service solutions to key stakeholders for their customers traveling abroad or with in Canada.
The position is based in Quebec, and the working environment is a mix of in-office for training/meetings and remote, though always in close collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders.
Responsibilities Include:
- Provide superior service to clients with existing policies and assist in new business generation.
- Provide support to our sales team in maintaining and growing books of Travel Insurance.
- Promote and educate clients on Travel insurance products.
- Provide advice and information on our insurance coverage for rental vehicles with an emphasis on damage and theft coverage.
- Provide pre and on-trip advice to clients, as well as assist clients with the sales process.
- Follow procedures efficiently and transparently during conversations with customers.
- Demonstrate the ability to organize and prioritize work effectively.
- Explain terms and conditions of coverage, including exclusions and limitation.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Takes accountability for delivering client experience including effective problem solving.
- Responsible for communicating in a collaborative team with team members and managers.
- Interact with clients to provide clear and concise answers to their inquiries.
- Demonstrate commitment by taking ownership and accountability of client inquiries.
- Protects the client’s privacy and confidentiality according to the established guidelines.
- Professional and positive attitude is required.
- Assist in other claims areas when required.
Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Post secondary education.
- Holds an active Damage Insurance license issued by the Autorité des Marchés financiers at the time of application.
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
- Superior oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of travel insurance products.
- Previous experience is preferred.
- Ability to adapt to fluctuating call volumes and ability to prioritize work to optimize efficiency.
Language Requirement: Fluency in French
Requirement: Holds an active Damage Insurance license issued by the Autorité des Marchés financiers at the time of application.
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8 am – 8 pm (two shifts).
Work Location: Quebec – with some travel to Toronto office required (training, meetings and events etc.,)
Compensation: Salary range $60k-$65k
