Fulltime opportunity REMOTE in - or close to - Toronto area. Our client is a leading provider of field service management software and they're looking for someone who can lead the charge in Canada as a new territory. P&L Management and GM responsibilities.
Experience with:
- Director of Sales or VP of Sales titles
- Have built a foreign SaaS company from 0-$5m in Canada before.
- Have built a team from 1-10 people in Canada before.
- Have played both IC and Management Roles and are comfortable with both.
- General Manager style candidate who can sell (first and foremost) but also experienced in Marketing, Legal, Product Readiness, Accounting/Admin etc… This role is for a genuine business builder who is comfortable wearing multiple hats. Most importantly the sales hat.
- Sales experience should be primarily Direct as well as Partnerships and Alliances.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy for Canada
- Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, qualifying, presenting, closing
- Target and build relationships with decision-makers across:
- Emergency services (e.g., ambulance and police forces)
- Central housing authorities (e.g., housing and maintenance operations)
- Healthcare organizations (e.g., care plan coordination)
- Identify and secure strategic partners (e.g., systems integrators, consulting firms)
- Collaborate with marketing to host webinars, events, and other pipeline-generating activities
- Work closely with pre-sales and BDR functions to support outreach and delivery
Sales Model & Compensation
- Typical deal cycles: 3–9 months (sometimes 12–18 months for larger/complex opportunities)
- Annual quota: ~$1.6M CAD
- Uncapped commission plan – potential to double your earnings when quota is hit
- Milestone bonuses tied to strategic goals (e.g., business plan execution, partner signings, event success)
You’ll Thrive in This Role If You Have:
- 5+ years in B2B sales, ideally in field service tech, public sector, or enterprise SaaS
- Experience selling to government, emergency services, healthcare, or central housing
- Ability to build and lead a market from the ground up
- Self-motivation, curiosity, and confidence to lead in a new geography
- A collaborative mindset with the freedom to try, fail, learn, and succeed
Bonus Points For:
- Knowledge of Canadian public procurement processes
- Experience working with or through partners like CGI
- Previous experience in pre-sales or BDR roles
