Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate X-Ray Technologist to join our dedicated team in Alliston. The ideal candidate will be a registered professional with a strong foundation in general radiography and a commitment to patient safety and excellent service. This role is crucial in supporting our physicians and providing accurate, high-quality images to aid in diagnosis.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform a wide range of general radiography examinations, including but not limited to chest, skeletal, abdominal, and extremity X-rays.
- Operate and maintain a variety of X-ray imaging equipment, ensuring proper functionality and calibration.
- Prepare and position patients for examinations, ensuring their comfort, privacy, and safety.
- Adhere strictly to radiation safety protocols, including the use of shielding and proper dose management.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including clinical history and technical reports, using the clinic's Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS).
- Collaborate effectively with radiologists, physicians, and administrative staff to ensure a seamless and efficient workflow.
- Provide compassionate, clear, and professional communication with patients, explaining procedures and addressing any concerns.
- Participate in quality assurance (QA) activities to ensure all images meet diagnostic standards.
Qualifications:- Successful completion of a recognized Medical Radiation Technology program.
- Current registration and in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).
- Experience in a hospital or private clinic setting is preferred.
- Proficiency in operating X-ray equipment from various manufacturers (e.g., GE, Philips, Siemens).
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy and radiographic techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality diagnostic images.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
