Your Role in Supporting Our Members:
As a Lead, MECE Operations, you will identify and implement opportunities to optimize MECE operations processes and practices, integrating decolonization, equity, and diversity thinking into policies and procedures. You will provide strategic advice on operational needs, risks, and opportunities across the fulfillment network, monitor and execute operational programs, and consult with internal and external stakeholders to achieve business objectives. This role is ideal for a collaborative leader with strong analytical skills and a passion for operational excellence and inclusion.
This is a Full-time, Permanent role based at Vancity head office and will report directly to the Senior Manager, Operations and Workforce Planning. While this position provides a hybrid work arrangement, you may be expected to be on-site for events and business demands at least once a week.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Identifying and implementing opportunities to optimize operational processes and practices, and making recommendations for continuous improvement in order to enhance efficiency across frontline teams, including integrating decolonization, equity, and diversity thinking into processes, policies, and practices
- Providing advice and recommendations on operational needs, risks, and opportunities, to inform enhancements to training and capability development
- Monitoring and/or executing operational programs, initiatives, and projects, enabling accurate, timely, and complete processing of work
- Consulting with internal and external stakeholders to achieve business objectives, including monitoring industry trends, maintaining vendor relationships, and working directly with external partners on programs, products, and tools
- Performing business analysis activities by gathering business and technical requirements, analyzing findings, and communicating insights and recommendations to stakeholders
- Taking ownership of vendor and expense management by designing and enforcing clear procedures for tracking expenditures and maintaining transparent vendor relationship records.
- Contributing to the review of vendor contracts and expense reports to uncover opportunities for cost optimization and ensure alignment with Vancity’s organizational policies and standards.
- Partnering with finance and procurement teams to establish and uphold controls and best practices that promote responsible spending and foster strong, collaborative vendor partnerships.
- Supporting operational communications for member-facing staff by developing clear messaging and resources that enable frontline teams to stay informed about process changes, updates, and best practices, ensuring consistent and accurate information is delivered to members.
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in operations optimization, process improvement, business analysis, or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience improving complex operational processes within a multi-stakeholder environment
- Strong understanding of fulfillment networks, operational risk, and service delivery models
- Experience fostering effective vendor management including skilled in reviewing vendor contracts, resolving issues, and building strong relationships with external parties.
- Proven track record of implementing procedures to track expenditures and maintain transparent vendor communications, resulting in improved cost control and reliable service delivery
- Experience applying equity, diversity, and inclusion principles to operational or organizational processes
- Proven ability to oversee and manage projects, influence outcomes, and consult effectively with cross-functional stakeholders
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build trust and credibility at all levels

What You’ll Earn:
This role offers a salary range of $86,400 to $91,440. The base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements
