Your Role in Supporting Our Members:
As a Senior Specialist, Credit Quality, you will conduct reviews of Commercial and Business lending files to ensure adherence to credit policy and mitigate risk. You will identify emerging industry trends, analyze risks and opportunities, and provide recommendations to strengthen credit quality. Acting as a senior resource, you will offer technical expertise, research, and innovative methodologies to support strategic initiatives across the organization.
This is a Full-time, Permanent role based at our Vancity head office and will report directly to the Team Manager, Credit Quality. While this position provides a hybrid work arrangement, you may be expected to be on-site for events and business demands
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Conducting reviews Commercial and Business loan files to ensure compliance with credit policies
- Identifying and analyzing emerging industry trends, risks, and opportunities
- Making recommendations to mitigate potential risks and identify business opportunities
- Acting as a senior resource by providing technical expertise and guidance
- Performing research and applying innovative methodologies to support strategic initiatives
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to strengthen credit risk governance
- Developing and maintaining reporting tools for credit quality metrics
- Supporting regulatory compliance and internal audit requirements
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in lending or credit risk management
- Strong knowledge of credit policies, risk frameworks, and financial industry practices
- Proven ability to perform qualitative and quantitative analysis
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement

What You’ll Earn:
This role offers a salary range of $71,500 to $107,300 per annum. The base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements
