*Overview*
Kowarsky & Company is a downtown boutique law firm with a robust and wide-ranging litigation practice that includes commercial litigation, creditor-debtor litigation and collection, family law, and non-ICBC personal injury litigation.
*Job Summary*
We are looking for an associate with at least three years of experience in civil litigation and/or family law, with trial experience in the Supreme Court of BC. This role will involve working on files in various practice areas including family law and non-ICBC personal injury;
working independently on creditor-debtor files from starting a claim in the Small Claims Court and the Supreme Court of BC and obtaining judgment, to post-judgment enforcement such as garnishment;
and attending chambers application on quasi-criminal matters.
*Candidate Requirements*
* Have at least 3 years of experience in civil litigation and/or family law, experience with creditor-debtor remedies is an asset.
* Have a law degree and membership in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia.
* Have a warm, friendly personality, the ability to work in a team-based environment, and work professionally under pressure.
* Have strong attention to detail and solid work ethics.
*Compensation: *Starting from $100,000 per year commensurate with experience;
we are open to discussing a fee-splitting arrangement.
