Your Team
Join Flair’s Maintenance team, where accurate inventory control and warehouse support are essential to keeping aircraft maintenance operations running safely and efficiently. The Stores Person is responsible for organizing, coordinating, and maintaining accurate accountability of aviation parts, tools, and equipment at the YYC base to support aircraft repair and maintenance activities. In this role, you will work with minimal supervision in a hangar and storeroom environment, collaborating closely with Maintenance and Operations teams to support both day-to-day and planned maintenance requirements. Occasional travel may be required based on operational needs. You will be required to safely perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, bending, reaching, climbing, and prolonged standing or walking. Work may take place in inclement weather and around regulated materials, requiring strict adherence to safety and handling procedures.
This role is based on-site at our Calgary, AB (YYC).
A Day In The Life
As a Stores Person, you will:
- Accept and process requests for aviation parts, supplies, and equipment from the Maintenance Department.
- Fill orders, control the release of inventory and tooling assets, and ensure the security and integrity of stockroom property.
- Process, issue, track, and account for parts and materials used in aircraft maintenance activities.
- Enter, retrieve, and maintain data within computerized maintenance and inventory systems, including pick slips, stock records, tool control, and related documentation.
- Handle and store hazardous materials in accordance with company policies, A-OSH standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Perform general warehouse and logistics duties, including local parts runs, unloading deliveries, operating forklifts and pallet jacks, storing inventory, and packing and unpacking parts.
- Deliver parts and materials to hangar floors or designated staging areas as required.
- Support after-hours part movements, including COMAT and Aircraft on Ground (AOG) material handling, as operationally required.
- Ensure all safety procedures are followed and maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment.
- Prepare parts and materials for shipment to repair stations, vendors, and out-bases via air and ground transportation.
- Verify part numbers and serial numbers against repair orders, NIS documentation, and packing slips, ensuring all required documentation is included.
- Identify and prioritize shipments based on operational urgency.
- Prepare air waybills using approved carriers, including FedEx, Air Canada, WestJet, and COMAT.
- Ensure shipments are packaged safely and in compliance with TDG and other applicable regulations.
- Maintain accurate tracking records for inbound and outbound shipments within the maintenance system and notify consignees of incoming materials
- Receive courier deliveries, verify shipment counts, sign for deliveries, and document any visible damage.
- Review packing slips and vendor documentation to verify, count, and process incoming parts and materials.
- Identify discrepancies or damaged items and report them to the supervisor for corrective action.
- Accurately input receiving data into maintenance systems, including verification of AD/SB requirements, times, cycles, shelf life, and hydrostatic test dates.
- Apply appropriate batch tags or rotable tags to received parts.
- Distribute materials to the correct aircraft, project, or out-base in accordance with maintenance system instructions.
- Scan and file all receiving documentation into internal systems and folders.
- Maintain a working knowledge of aircraft parts certification and traceability requirements.
- Compare daily shipments against PCFs and route materials to the correct aircraft and base.
- Complete remote receiving activities and supply required tags in a timely manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the company from time to time.
What You Bring To The Role

- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience:
- Minimum two (2) years of previous experience working in a general aviation environment.
- Ability to travel occasionally, including on short notice, as required.
- Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to lift 40–50 lbs, with heavy lifting required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to complete and pass Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) and Quality Control (QC) training.
- Ability to work irregular hours or shift work, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with a variable schedule.
- Strong problem-solving skills with demonstrated attention to detail, accuracy, and effective time management.
- Ability to prioritize multiple demands in a time-sensitive environment.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Requirements:
- Valid Canadian Driver’s License.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an airport security clearance, including a minimum five (5) year traceable history, a clear criminal record, and Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status, as a condition of employment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Driver’s Airside (D/A) license within six (6) months of employment start date.
- Clear criminal record check and satisfactory references.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada without restriction.
