Position: Industrial Electrician (442A)
Location: Belleville, Ontario
Compensation: $44.34 per hour + shift premiums
Shifts: Rotating – Days, Afternoons, and Midnights OR Continental 12-hour shift
Overview
We are seeking an experienced 442A Industrial Electrician to join our maintenance and engineering team in Belleville. This role is hands-on and plant-focused, supporting automated and high-volume manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting industrial electrical, control, and PLC-based systems to support equipment reliability, uptime, and safe production.

Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems supporting manufacturing equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair PLC-controlled machinery, motor controls, sensors, and automated systems
- Diagnose electrical, control, and equipment failures to minimize downtime
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on industrial equipment
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic, and technical drawings
- Work safely in compliance with electrical codes, lockout/tagout procedures, and plant safety standards
- Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to improve equipment reliability and process efficiency
- Maintain accurate maintenance and troubleshooting documentation
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Valid 442A Industrial Electrician Certificate (required)
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Proven experience working with industrial controls and PLC-based systems
- Strong troubleshooting skills in automated manufacturing settings
- Solid understanding of motors, drives, sensors, switchgear, and industrial control panels
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and ladder logic
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Knowledge of industrial safety standards and safe work practices
- Valid Class G driver’s license
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Comfortable working in an industrial plant environment, including heights, confined spaces, and rotating shifts.
