Your Role in Supporting Our Members:
As the Team Manager, Business and Commercial Admin, you are the primary point of escalation for operational issues and defects. This role provides specialized, high-quality support to the team through strong communication, interpersonal, and advanced technical expertise. In close partnership with the Business and Commercial Sales teams, you will support the achievement of annual lending targets while driving operational excellence. This role also serves as a critical safeguard, ensuring all activities are conducted in accordance with policy and regulatory requirements, with a strong focus on compliance and the mitigation of AML risk.
This is a 6-month contract role and will report directly to the Manager, Business and Commercial Banking Admin. While this position provides a hybrid work arrangement, you will be expected to be on-site as business demands.
How You'll Make an Impact:
- Leading a team of business and commercial administration specialists responsible for the end-to-end fulfillment of business and commercial lending transactions, ensuring work is completed efficiently, accurately, and in alignment with member needs, policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Overseeing business and commercial lending administration activities, with direct accountability for funding, payouts, loan maintenance, and documentation validation across the Business and Commercial Lending Administration teams
- Supporting revenue-generating activities, enabling upwards of $1.5B in business and commercial revenue with a strong focus on fee generation, fee accuracy, and effective collection
- Managing service level agreements (SLAs) by ensuring all processes meet established turnaround time and quality standards, developing feedbck loops to understand pain points and process grit, and providing clear root-cause analysis and action plans when SLAs are not met, or opportunities for improvement are spotted
- Ensuring compliance and risk management, validating credit and compliance documentation for business and commercial loans and overseeing high-risk periodic reviews to meet regulatory and internal audit requirements Driving process optimization, identifying opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce manual effort, and improve efficiency, while supporting the implementation of new policies, products, and programs
- Engaging and partnering with stakeholders, collaborating closely with internal teams such as Process Optimization, Retail Credit, and Lending Pods, as well as external partners including FCT, Dye & Durham, and Cumis
- Collaborate with your peers in Banking Operations to spot duplicative or similar processes and streamline across the group and lead the change management required to make us a more efficient Operations team
- Inform the business requirements for lending-related software and automation efficiencies, and support adoption of new and improved technology
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
- Proven experience leading teams within business or commercial lending administration, credit operations, or financial services environments
- Strong working knowledge of business and commercial lending processes, including funding, payouts, loan maintenance, and documentation validation
- Solid understanding of compliance and risk management requirements, including regulatory documentation standards
- Experience supporting revenue-generating operations, with exposure to fee generation, fee accuracy, and collection processes
- Ability to analyze complex processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement improvements that enhance efficiency and reduce risk
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience collaborating across internal teams and external partners
- Effective people leadership capabilities, including coaching, performance management, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of nCino an asset

What You’ll Earn:
This role offers a salary range of $96,600 to $102,330. The base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
