Administrative Section
Positions in this section of this category perform various clerical duties and a variety of support and administrative functions. This may include handling general reception duties such as answering routine enquiries from staff and the public, in person, via telephone and e-mail. Other responsibilities may include word processing (creating correspondence or other documentation), generating computer reports, inputting data, photocopying, sorting mail and filing.
NOTE 1: As a condition of employment, some positions may require the successful applicant to drive a City vehicle. Successful applicants to these positions must provide proof of a current Class G licence, free of demerit points. Students holding a Class G1 or Class G2 will not be permitted to drive a City vehicle. If you possess a driver's licence, please make notation of the class of your driver's license on your resume.
NOTE 2: As a condition of employment, some positions may require the successful applicant to obtain a Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check, or Vulnerable Sector Check, at their own expense, prior to beginning work in the position.
NOTE 3: You must be available to work for an 8-hour shift to provide program coverage, 5 days a week (including weekends, evenings and holidays) on a scheduled basis. The expectation is that you are available for the entire term.
