WHAT YOU WILL DO
Silviculture Technician will have a significant field component and will be responsible for applying technical skills and knowledge when conducting silviculture projects, including tree planting implementation, silviculture surveys, treatment area layout, field assessments, and reporting along with various timber development opportunities in the winter.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED

Must have:
- A safety conscious attitude
- Post-secondary education with a diploma or degree in a relevant discipline, or 2-3 years of related field experience
- Broad understanding of general forestry practices
- Valid drivers license and safe driving record
- Silviculture Surveyor Accreditation would be an asset. Candidates that arent Accredited Silviculture Surveyors will be considered for additional in-house support, towards achieving accreditation
- Registered or eligible to be registered with the FPBC or enrolled as a FIT or TFT
- Silviculture survey experience, planting supervision and/or planting pay plot experience
- Enthusiastic and passionate about forestry and working outdoors in all weather conditions as this is a field position
