Tasks

Operate and tend various wood processing machines to remove bark, knots and dirt from logsComplete and maintain production reportsReduce logs or sawmill waste into wood chips or flakesOperate and tend equipment to peel and slice veneer from logs and log sectionsOperate and tend equipment to glue, press, trim, sand and splice veneer sheetsOperate and tend equipment to dry lumber and other wood productsOperate and tend equipment to chemically treat and impregnate wood products with preservativesObserve panel indicators and equipment to detect malfunctionsObserve equipment, panel indicators, video monitors, and other instruments to ensure that processes are operating according to specificationsAssemble plywood panelsStart up, shut down, set up and adjust process equipment or machines Work Term: Permanent Work Language: English Hours: 35 hours per week
