Tasks
Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costsRead blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirementsMeasure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materialsFit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardwareUtilize hand and power toolsEnsure safety procedures are followed

Offers on-the-job training tailored to youthOffers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for youthProvides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth
