Tasks
Operate buses, school busses or streetcars to transport passengersProvide passengers with information on fares, schedules and stopsReport delays, mechanical problems and accidentsDirect passengers during emergency evacuation proceduresEnsure para-transit passengers board vehicle safelyComplete logbooks and reportsDeal with difficult passengers and resolve conflictsCommunicate with passengers, dispatchers or other drivers using two-way radio systemsEnsure children's safety when boarding and leaving buses and crossing street while bus is stoppedMaintain control of student activities during travel to prevent distractions or behaviours that could compromise safetyPerform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
