The Opportunity
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bilingual Bookkeeper to join our team in Danford Lake, QC. This is a critical role responsible for managing the financial health of our growing operations. This position offers the unique opportunity to work for a stable, long-standing family business in a beautiful rural setting, with the added benefit of potential housing for a candidate looking to relocate.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of day-to-day accounting, including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
Process payroll and ensure all government remittances (HST/QST, source deductions) are filed accurately and on time.
Maintain accurate financial records and prepare monthly financial reports for management.
Assist with year-end preparations and coordinate with external accountants.
Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and staff in both English and French.
Requirements
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
Software Skills: Proficiency in accounting software is required; Sage Accounting experience is strongly preferred.
Bilingualism: Must be fully fluent in both English and French (written and spoken) to service our diverse clientele and handle Quebec-based regulatory filings.
Education: Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is an asset.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and organizational skills.
