Leadership growth is something we celebrate at YWCA Calgary. An internal promotion into the CEO role has created two Vice President opportunities for leaders who want to help drive meaningful change.
The Vice President, Advancement and Engagement is an influential executive leader who advances YWCA Calgary’s presence, partnerships and impact through strategic engagement across the community, sector and public landscape. This leader brings deep expertise in external relations, advocacy, communications and philanthropic partnership development, and champions YWCA Calgary’s mission by building strong, meaningful relationships that advance organizational priorities, strengthen financial sustainability and enhance visibility and influence.
A connector and advocate at heart, the Vice President represents YWCA Calgary in the community, positioning the organization as a leader in intersectional feminism, social justice and community well‑being. Working closely with the CEO, CFO and Board of Directors, they support strategic direction, funding diversification and long‑term sustainability through partnerships, social enterprise opportunities and external engagement strategies.
The Vice President leads a high‑performing team responsible for external relations, government and stakeholder engagement, communications, marketing and philanthropic partnerships. They foster a culture of collaboration, innovation and accountability, ensuring YWCA Calgary’s voice is strong, credible and aligned with organizational values.
This position typically works 37.5 hours per week and follows a hybrid work arrangement, with four days in the office and one day remote.
