About the Role:
As an Order Processor at Prairie Cedar, you’ll play a key role in filling customer orders and maintaining stock levels.
You’ll be responsible for picking and organizing building packages for pick-up or delivery and ensuring a smooth and timely customer experience. Your organizational skills, attention to detail and commitment to operational safety is key to customer satisfaction and operational success.
Customer Service Responsibilities:
- Pick, organize and verify orders for delivery or customer pick-up.
- Utilize appropriate lift truck equipment to prepare and load customer orders (training provided).
- Support customers, re-direct when required, process returns.
- Use terminals to verify inventory, look-up order details and product information.
- Plan ahead for pick-ups and deliveries.
Stock Management and Processing Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain optimal stock levels, accuracy and help streamline re-stocking process.
- Communicating with other team members to ensure stock levels on shelves are effective and appropriate.
- Maintain operational safety and cleanliness.
- Moving back stock from designated staging areas to prep for re-stocking using the appropriate equipment as necessary.
- Process incoming stock to ensure it meets grade and appearance standards for their intended use.
Experience/Knowledge Required:
- Ability to work a regular daytime schedule - Monday to Friday and (Saturday mornings on rotation).
- Basic computer skills to identify stock levels and product information.
- Previous forklift and/or lift truck experience is an asset but not required.
- Time management and organizational skills.
- Good communication, customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read order sheets and invoices.
- Hands-on experience and product knowledge are an asset.
- Comfortable lifting merchandise and organizing orders for customer pick-up or delivery.
- Valid driver’s license.
